Pas de Deux is 'the dance of two' is that poetic? I have always enjoyed drawing dancers and many of my previous works surrounded ballet dancing in some way. During a YouTube rabbit hole I found myself sketching dancers again and I couldn't help the story that began to form the more I drew. It just so happened that I came across a Japanese Sign Language YouTube channel and thus, Pas de Deux was born. Pas de Deux is an almost silent manga as I wanted to really capture the frustration of not being able to communicate effectively and the confusion felt between the characters. As this was originally made for a Japanese audience, it is intended to be read from right to left and all sound effects are in Japanese.
